The Pantakrator mosaic decorated with a Jesus figure, put on the Emperor Door presents Jesus praising with his right hand and holding an open book (bible) of scriptures with his left hand. Composed on the book of scriptures are the Greek words: ‘May Peace Be with You. I Am the Divine Light’. The correct emblem holds the figure of Gabriel while the left emblem holds one of Virgin Mary. Underneath the feet of Christ, in a petition position is Emperor Leon VI. ( 816-912) of Eastern Rome. The mosaic goes back to the tenth century
